A Few things
we have done togehter
Thank you for allowing me to serve Tullahoma over the past three years. It has been a privilege and honor to serve my hometown. With your support and vote on August 4th, I hope to continue building on the solid foundations we laid together over the next four years.
While this says “What Daniel Has Done,” it is essential to acknowledge that we do not work in a vacuum and cannot accomplish anything individually. It takes working together as a Board, through our differences, and finding ways to compromise. Achieving our goals also requires leadership and dedication at the staff level. It would be unfair to claim any of these accomplishments as solely my own./
transparent, accountable, Accessible
- 36 town halls and meet-and-greets
- 23 community trash and clean-up days
- Held a series breaking down how our local government works, who to call, and where to find information
- Over 1,000 calls from businesses and residents answered with over 400 personal visits to listen to and understand your needs
- Continue to sit down with you and listen to your issues AND solutions
Focused on infrastructure
- Fully-funded and repaved Cedar Lane. A $500,000+ investment that was long overdue and desperately needed.
- Doubled the budget for annual paving compared with the years prior investing over $2,200,000. We heard roads, and made that a priority.
- Committed to and invested $2,00,000+ in funding for sidewalk projects including Cedar Lane, Ovoca, and East Grundy Street, and Clement Drive.
- Committed to and set aside $1,200,000 in funding for stormwater infrastructure and management projects.
- Funded bathrooms, concessions, and expanded parking at the Johnson Lane Soccer Complex.
Focused on the future
- As a planning commissioner, ensured our growth plan is inviting to developers while encouraging the type of growth that keeps Tullahoma unique.
- Kept unneccesary government expansion from creeping into our ordinances that would have placed financial burdens on our small business owners.
- Worked with national travel writers and toursim agencies to highlight Tullahoma as a unique place to visit, supporting our businesses and growing our local economy.
