You’ve probably seen the phrase by now.
Experienced. Conservative. No Bull.
It’s not a slogan I picked because it sounds good. It’s a standard I’ve been operating under for years, and it’s exactly how I intend to serve if elected.
Let’s be clear about what that means in practice.
Experienced
Experience isn’t about time served. It’s about decisions made and results delivered.
I’ve been in the room when budgets were tight, and choices had to be made. I’ve worked through the tradeoffs, not just talked about them. I’ve seen what happens when leadership gets it right, and what happens when it doesn’t.
Experience means understanding how local government actually works. Not in theory, but in practice. How decisions flow, where they get stuck, and where accountability can break down.
It also means recognizing that not every problem needs a new program or a new expense. Sometimes the right move is to fix what’s already in place and make it work the way it was supposed to.
Conservative
This is not about labels. It’s about priorities.
A conservative approach to local government starts with a simple idea: government should focus on what it is responsible for, and do those things well.
Public safety. Infrastructure. Responsible budgeting.
That means being disciplined with taxpayer dollars. It means asking hard questions before approving new spending. And it means being willing to say no when something doesn’t make sense, even if it’s popular.
Growth matters. Development matters. But it has to be balanced with what our infrastructure can support and what our residents can afford.
You don’t build a strong city by chasing every opportunity. You build it by making sound decisions consistently over time.
No Bull
This one is simple.
You’re going to get straight answers from me.
No political spin. No talking in circles. No saying one thing in public and another behind closed doors.
If something is working, I’ll say it. If something isn’t, I’ll say that too.
And if I don’t have all the answers yet, I’ll tell you that, along with what I’m doing to get them.
People deserve honesty from their elected officials. Not messaging. Not carefully crafted statements. Just the truth.
The Bottom Line
This campaign isn’t about slogans. It’s about setting expectations.
If you’re looking for someone who will tell you what you want to hear, I’m probably not your candidate.
If you’re looking for someone who will take the job seriously, focus on the fundamentals, and make decisions based on what’s best for Tullahoma long-term, then we’re aligned.
That’s what Experienced. Conservative. No Bull. means.
And that’s exactly how I plan to lead.
