Highlights
- State revenues for May exceeded budget estimates
- Local sales receipts up in April from March by 10.88%, putting us at +9% year-to-date
- 124 new business licenses YTD, on track to end +18% over last year.
- Three new building permits issued at Northgate Mall valued at over $2.4M. Eight new residential building permits for new single-family residences valued at over $2.5M. Total of 45 permits issued in May representing $5.7M in total construction value.
- Construction on the City's Safe Routes to Schools grant with TDOT for new portions of sidewalks on E. Grundy Street connecting the existing sidewalks at Dossett Homes to East Lincoln Elementary School is nearing completion.
- Bids are being solicited for installation of guardrails on Short Springs Road with bid opening July 13.
